Please help! I have created a web page that is nearly complete. My problem is that I have created a form, and when I link it to a "confirmation page" an error comes up on the screen. How can I fix this problem so that when I submit the form, it procedes to the confirmation page? Any help you can give would be appreciated!

Check out the FAQ's and the other form questions in this forum for help. FP forms are VERY frustrating. My advice is to go with scripts. Your host may even have some you can use.

Thank you for your help. However, I am fairly new to this stuff, and I am not really sure what a script is. Could you explain further? I would really appreciate it.

A script is a program stored on your server that is called up from one of your HTML pages. The scripts I have are written in Pearl, which I know nothing about, so I had someone else write it. My scripts are stored in a directory called cgi-bin, but I have found out that they can be anywhere.

I am new to this too, so I understand how difficult things can be. I've been working with our web site and Front Page for less than a year, and have been very frustrated. Even forums like this one don't always help. Feel free to email me directly jon@siliconengines-ltd.com. I may be able to help you stumble through.

i have a FRAME. the third FRAME has a FORM.
on the first SUBMIT of the FORM - nothing happens.
on the SECOND submit of the form, the FORM ACTS CORRECTLY -
ie: it fires off an email and it displays the CONFIRMATION page.

help! why doesn't it work on the FIRST TRY?????

1076366,

I would re-post your question on the general forum. No one will reply if you are hidden in someone else's posting.
