Formatting Records in a Continuous Form

I'm needing to change the font colour of different records in a continuous form. Eg; if [field1] = x then font colour = green else blue. I need to see the different colours for different records all at once. I can get the colours to change for all records but not selectively. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
