Hello All;

Help me to create an Avery 5160 template with our Return Address on it that will be center justified? I need multiple full sheets of an address that will look nice and center justified.

Thanks,

Bucky

Bucky,
You didn't say which version but we use 2000 - and hopefully this helps...
Presume you know how to start the create label process (Tools | Envelopes & Labels, click on the label shown and scroll down and select the label type you want, etc.)

Put a word or two in the label example the tool shows. Make certain the box for full page of labels is checked (is by default). Click on the NEW Document button.

At that point you should have a page showing the outlines of the labels with that word or two you typed earlier.

Now you can use Word's formatting tools (such as they are) to do whatever you want. (Also this is when you would add a graphic to the labels. If you import a graphic Word will force it to stay within the label boundaries.)

Get one label the way you want it and then copy and paste the contents of that label into the other labels on the page.

Hope that helps.

Presume you know how to start the create label process (Tools | Envelopes & Labels, click on the label shown and scroll down and select the label type you want, etc.)

Put a word or two (OR YOUR ENTIRE RETURN ADDRESS) in the label example the tool shows. (AFTER ENTERING INFORMATION, YOU CAN FORMAT IT HERE BY SELECTING AND RIGHT-CLICKING THE TEXT AND CHOOSING THE FORMAT YOU WANT TO CHANGE, SUCH AS FONT. OTHERWISE, YOU CAN DO IT AS DESCRIBED BELOW.) Make certain the box for full page of labels is checked (is by default). Click on the NEW Document button.

At that point you should have a page showing the outlines of the labels with that word or two you typed earlier. (TO SEE THESE LABEL OUTLINES, WHEN YOU HIT THE TABLE MENU, IT MUST SAY "HIDE GRIDLINES" AT THE BOTTOM. IF IT SAYS "SHOW GRIDLINES", YOU MUST CLICK IT.)

Now you can use Word's formatting tools (such as they are) to do whatever you want. (Also this is when you would add a graphic to the labels. If you import a graphic Word will force it to stay within the label boundaries.) (SPECIFICALLY, YOU CAN HIT CTRL+A AND THEN CTRL+E. THAT SHOULD SELECT AND CENTER ALL OF YOUR TEXT ON THE LABELS. YOU CAN CHANGE THE FONT, ETC. WHILE IT'S ALL SELECTED.)

Get one label the way you want it and then copy and paste the contents of that label into the other labels on the page. (YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS PART IF YOU ENTERED YOUR ENTIRE RETURN ADDRESS THE FIRST TIME AND USED CTRL+A BEFORE FORMATTING.)
