Hey there,
How do you format a harddrive without a recovery CD since XP does not give you the option to restart the computer in ms-dos mode and then run fdisk? Is there another way of doing this with XP or some Windows software to do so?

Cheers, Steve

You have to create a boot disk. When you start your computer with the boot disk in find your way to read a text file. When you do that it brings to and edit page, close it and you should be in MS-DOS mode. XP does not give the option because they decide to put windows on the computer frist and then place MS-DOS within, smart aren't we?
