After recieving multiple error messages upon start-up on xp, I attempted to format the hard drive to remove the virus/error...this resulted in the creation of a second partition, now i cant delete the second partition and it wont load. how can i solve this problem?

Boot up from the XP CD. When it asks you which partition to install on, delete both partitions, then format, then it should install.
If you're getting errors, please let us know what they are. The more specific, the better. Jennifer Sigman
