Formatting ASP output in Netscape 4.04

I have a website that reads product info from an Access 2000 database and displays it in an ASP page. However, I cannot seem to apply HTML formatting to displayed records that is preserved while viewing the page in Netscape 4.04.

This is simple enough in IE, with an inline <STYLE> tag. This doesn't of course cut it for NS4.04, and nor, it seems, does a <FONT> tag.

Does anyone know of relevant issues with NS 4.04 and ASP?

Would really appreciate some help with this, even if it's just to say that NS4.04 doesn't support formatting of ASp output. Am working to a deadline...

ASP does not interract directly w/ the browser.

i.e. anything you do in ASP has nothing to do with the browser. They key here is outputting HTML to the browser that NS4.04 will interpret properly.

NS4.04 does not completely support <style>, so my advice there is to leave them completely out if your site has to be compatible with this dog of a browser.

<font> should work just fine, though.

If you're having a specific HTML layout problem, then I would suggest posting in the HTML forum, and letting those guys/gals have a go at it.
