Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet, that has headers until row 4.
From row 5, I have the datas.
Requirement: If there are rows marked with "X" in column 5(E), I would like to bring all those row to the top(say write them from row 5), and push the other rows down.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Easiest way is to have a sequence number column. Change the sequence number and sort into the order you want.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion.
Have solved the requirement.

vijay2482,

Welcome to Tek-Tips. I'm glad you got your answer. If you've not read up on how things work best on these forums, then i suggest you do - I don't have any of the links off hand, but they can be found pretty easily.

One of the things we do is we click "Thank SoAndSo for this valuable post!" whenever we get useful/helpful information. That puts a star by the helper's name on the thread, and it adds to their "help history" if you will. That way, you can pretty well tell who the really knowledgeable folks are on tek-tips. It also serves as a nice pat on the back, and gives more help for searching for helpful posts on specific topics.
