The formatting appears properly in chrome and ff, but not ie. I'm not really
strong with styles, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The screen shot is from IE 7. So you are saying that I can get it to look the way I want? What is the current style lacking to do this?

There is a lot of inconsistency between browsers and between platorms on how CSS is applied to form elements - see and the articles it links to or the full story.

Bottom line - don't style form controls too heavily, and don't get too caught up in making them look exactly the same cross-browser.

Thank you all for the help. I decided to just use a text input for the state field rather than a drop down. It gives up a little on functionality for the sake of looks.

Thanks again.
