I faced problem of formating 128 Mb Apacer memory stick. I'm using winXP, have anyone came across a similar problem?
How to get my 128Mb working again?
TIA

Is it a memory module that's installed in a MB slot, or is it a flash drive that plugs into a USB port?

It's a flash drive that plugs into a USB port.

On my Compactflash cards, I just re-format like a big floppy. However, my Gateway camera SD card HAS to be formatted in the camera. Exactly what are you trying to use the stick in?

This is slightly off topic, but I have found a formatting prog on the Pansonic site that will format an SD card to the camera standard from the computer.

This saved an SD card that had been formatted in the computer and which the camera just did not accept or reformat.

Thanks toolman59,
I'll file it in case of emergency (like when I screw up!).

Back to the original question, its flash drive that plugs into a USB port, when trying to format with winXP or win2k an error message show up.
have any one came across a formating tool for USB plug in drive. Apacer web site does not provide such tool / utility.

Thanks

What is the exact text of the error message?

Cannot copy eee.wav :Cannot find the spcified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and filename.

I've never seen a format command request any file, and certainly not a .wav sound file ...

Are you trying to format from a command prompt, Explorer or the Admin Tool Disk Management GUI?

Does XP give the flash drive a drive letter when you plug it in? If so, run a command prompt and type format <drive letter>: /U

What happens then?

sorry, this error message when I tried to copy the .
But,when I tried to format it there is no reponse or dialog box!
