cdate ({Your Field}) will give you a date. You can then format it any way you want. You can use isdate to check if any field is compatible with a date. It will return "True" or "False
Thanks for your help. I tried this in the field Display String property and got an error - The formula result must be a string. I also tried it as a formula field and got a bad date format string error.
