Just bought a new 120GB HDD and want to partition & format it. According to my bios it sees it as 120GB but when I try to use FDisk to partition it, it only shows as 53GB. Anyone any ideas on this one?

It's FDISK limitation. Try to install OS with NTFS support (Windows NT, 2000, XP). The NTFS may work with some terabytes theoretically.

Thanks for the quick response, have checked out the MS web site and got more details. As I have not got Win98 on my system now, I could not use the download. However, following on from there I found this information and hopefully will solve my problem. Thanks again for your help

Yep that last link helped, everthing is fine now. Thanks
