Hi everyone,

Several reports that have been published to the web are displaying incorrectly when opened as pdf. The last column wraps to a 2nd page.

I have repeatedly re-formatted and re-published the reports, same result. I have switched columns, narrowed columns, changed from landscape, etc.

Opening the report in Impromptu, saving as pdf and opening in Acrobat shows the report exactly as it should be. Are there settings (somewhere?) I need to change so when the report is published it will maintain the correct format?

Also, these particular reports are prompted reports. I'm not sure that has anything to do with the issue, but thought I'd mention.

Thanks in advance,
Becky

Hi Becky,

Are any of the columns dynamically sized? Does the server with IWR have the same default print drivers that you are using locally? Are any of the frames statically sized where they might overlap to another page if the IWR server saw a different 'printable area' on it's default printer?

Not sure if the problem is any of these, but you might want to check them. The Cognos IWR knowledgebase seems to run along the lines of checking the same things also.

When I have had issues saving reports as PDF like you describe I switch to savig as EXCEL. In addition to the problem you describe above I have found that many form reports will not render properly in PDF format.

I discovered there were several issues with my original reports. First off, the frame of the list report ran over; second, the report frame was too close to the list frame. Also, sub-report frames were created too close. The grid lines also affected all this. A relatively new developer created this specific report, and by editing the above steps, I was finally able to correct the format issue. The reports now open correctly in both pdf and Excel. Thanks for the tips! :)
