Hi,

I need to make some reports suitable for export to Excel - data only.
I always run into the same issue if I use a subreports.
I wonder if anybody has a solution?

Here is an example
GH_1
- GH_2 ---- subreport Joined by GH1 & GH2, returns shared variables
-- Details Column_1... Column_2... Var_01........ Var02...
- GF_2....... RT_1 ...... RT_2 ....V1SumFormula ... V2SumFormula
GF_1 ------- reset

I can get a decent display/printout when I minimize the height of the section/subreport, then uncheck "Can Grow".
However, the subreport is still there so it screws up my data-only Excel exports.

When I've tried suppressing the subreport or the section, my variables are blank.
Maybe there is another approach?

Thanks,

bordway

Oops!!! I just saw this is already answered...

Reference >> Try suppressing all sections within the subreport.
>> Then go to the section expert->section the sub is in->check "suppress blank section".
>> Also go to format->subreport->subreport tab->suppress blank subreport.

Thanks to you lbass
