I have a dataset (see Sheet1) that i need to report as a matrix. Within the dataset, i pull together the individual totals for CDNs within a week, along with the overall total for all CDNs within the week. I do this to make it easy to calculate the weekly percentages within the report.

I am using Visual Studio 2005 to build the report. You can see the matrix definition on Sheet2.

Everything works out fine until i get to the bottom Total. As you can see on Sheet3, the total Offered is correct, but the % to Total is not correct. In fact, i do not even need this row visible on the Total section. How can i hide this row?

Thanks

Paul

I can't see the file as I do not have access to online storage sites at work but what is stopping you from removing the row?

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

I see no way to remove the row from the built in SubTotal box. It's just one big box. There are Properties settings, but i don't see any way to specify what rows to show.

I think i figured out how to do this though. Because of how my data is set up, the WkTotOff.Value in the SubTotal section is always going to be a factor of the number of CDN_Values there are. Therefore, i could place
=iif(Sum(Fields!WkTotOff.Value)/CountDistinct(Fields!CDN_Val.Value) = Sum(Fields!Offered.Value), "Silver", "White") in the Background Color in the properties of the row i want to hide (in the detail section). Since the individual detail level will never meet this criteria, these will remain visible.

apologies - when I have set up reports in the past there has been a totals row for each group and a seperate totals row for the table as a whole and you can delete one or the other independently....

Yes - it was a matrix - I think it depends on how you set up your groups and subtotals

seems like you have chieved what you needed to anyway but I would be interested if you could post a screenshot of your table structure...

I am not sure how to attach a screenshot within the post. All i see is an option to include a link to a file storage site.
