Form Wont Open

Help!

I've almost finished creating a form. I have saved it many times before with no problems. As i was updating my form i saved it and was told that there was not enough memory to do so. I then had to exit access. On reopening, the form is there but when i try to open it it does nothing. I have tried compacting and reparing but it has not helped. Even more annoying it has just happened to my back up too! Grr. Any more suggestions would be gratefully recieved.

You should read this:

You can also try creating a new form and copy-pasting all the control into it. be careful pasting in code, as it may be causing the problem.

I was helping someone with one of their databases a few weeks ago and received the same error message. I ended up having to delete the form and recreate it. It wasn't a big deal. Are you still getting the error message when you try to open it in design view?

I believe [blue]load3d's[/blue] last post is on target! I've suffered the same (many times) and reconstruction has always worked out! (at least so far).

If [blue]reconstruction[/blue] doesn't work nor [blue]compact & repair[/blue] afterwards, chances are you have a corrupt [blue]source[/blue] access installation file.

Thanks guys. All my data is fine, as i said it was just this one form. I don't want to sound mean but i'm glad others have experienced it too. The form won't even open in design view but is still visible in the form list. I agree with you guys that a deletion and recreation is in order. As for my access, it has worked fine ever since i installed it. Thanks for your responses.
