I have a form that looks up records on a subform. The problem I am having is if I have used the Combo Box to filter the records multiple times on the Subform and then close the Form it changes the record that had focus on the table to be the value now selected in the combo box.

The main form is having the same record source as that of subform.

Moreover your combobox control source is bound to actual field from the record source.

Just make the control source of the combobox as unbound and try

I looked at this and the combo Box control source is a table while the subform is based from a query. It sounds like you can help me, if only I can explain it well enough for you to understand. (I am fairly new at Access so please overlook my lack of understanding) Everything work exactly as I planned up until I close the form then it moves a record. So I am thinking I need some code to put in for the on close event of the form??? I really appreciatte any help you can provide.

A combobox used as a navigation tool should be unbound (ie no ControlSource but a RowSource).

Hope This Helps, PH.
