Im looking to create a form that from the data from other tables will create a new table. does anyone know if this is possible? Ive searched endlessly on google with no luck. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I really want to try and answer this, but I just don't know how.

Could you please explain this a little better for us?

do you mean, that you want to take some fields that are selected by the user and create a new table? e.g. fields 1 4 and 7 from table 1 and fields 4 5 and 10 from table 2?

Koresnordic I think what yer saying is what im looking to do if possible. Ive done some dabbling with access before in the past but have mostly modified databses to suit my needs. this round im starting ground up and in the process confusing the heck outta myself feel like a dog chasing his tail right now. but anyways Id like to be able to create a form that uses say two seperate tables and from that form create a whole new table that uses selected items from the form. im not sure how to be elaborate on this as im in a permanent state of confusion right now as to how i need to get to the info. what im building (or trying) to Build is a parts database sort of but there is no inventory control just items to be used in more of a training sort of way. and i thought that by blending items form other tables into one table might be the easiest way to do waht Id like to do and keep it simple at the same time.

Thanks for the replies
