Help! I have an 5224 IP phone that isn't grabbing DHCP info. (set indicates: "Offer 10+ Rej Option 128 Missing")

I am trying to access Form 47 to check things on my SX-200 ICP and it is coming up with:"Form number 47 cannot be accessed".

Any ideas??

Thanks

I am logging in as Supervisor. Do I need Installer to open this form?

Each level is configurable as to what forms are accessible.

Obviously you do not have access to that form.

With that in mind here are some suggestions in order of priority.

1 - Assume DHCP is correct and that some other factor is wrong.
- Try the 5224 in a known working port. Caution! If DHCP is at fault this might result in 2 sets not working.
- Try known working set in same position and non-working set. (Same caution)

2 - Try statically assigning the set values
- Try just setting VLAN first
- Set all options statically (make sure no conflicts)

3 - Gain access to form 47
- this assumes that the 200 is providing DHCP Are you sure?

Also be sure that there are not 2 sources of DHCP servers on the same subnet. Sounds silly but that got me.

If you know the IP of the controller, you could do a test by statically setting the set. Unplug the set, hold the Up arrow key down, power the set and then follow the prompts to set it as a static IP. Be sure to fill out all the fields especially the TFTP one. that one also got me a while back :)
