Hello All.
I have a form which I set to display records based on a date, in descending order, like so: DateOrdered DESC. I used the Order By property, and it works fine.
The problem is, I need to use this form ON another form, and when I drag it onto the other form, the sort order doesn't stay. I set the property again on the new form, just to double check, and no luck.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Base the form on a query, not a table. Do the sorting in the query.

Thanks.
I'll try that.
But why won't it work by simply dragging and dropping, if it workd fine standing alone?
Steve

Steve, this may not be the problem in your case but it's worth a try. After you drag and drop the form onto another, compile the database BEFORE saving the "new" form.

Access has lots of problems with copy/paste that seem to disappear if you compile prior to saving.

Thanks for the idea. I'll give it a shot.
