I have a form with many subreports. One of the subreports do not work well so I redo it again. After replicating the all the fields and elements somehow when I do a preview it keeps asking for me the values [2 values of the same thing] like the Pin No and Pin No again. How do I prevent one of them from showing? As I have supressed the original subreport from showing.. somehow it keeps asking for that. I do not want to delete the subreport even though I have redone it in case I missed something. Advise? Thanks

Just because its supppressed does not mean it will not try to run. You need to suppress the section holding it too.

Thanks but if I suppress the section then it will also suppress the entire thing which is not what I want.

If you just want to save it for possible future use, and it doesn't need to be in the report, you can right-click on that subreport and select "Save Subreport As." Then you can just save it in a directory somewhere for safe-keeping. Should you want to use it in the future, just re-import it back into your report.

It sounds to me like you have a problem with the subreport links - if you right click on the subreport in design mode and select 'Change Subreport Links", you'll see that the main report parameter is in the "Fields to Link To" box.

Beneath that is the dropdown for "Subreport parameter field to use."

If it says something like ?Pm-?PinNo then click on the dropdown and select the other value, which should be something like ?PinNo.

That should keep you from being prompted for the same parameter twice.

Thanks so much. That fixed the problem. Appreciate it much.
