I am trying to make a form in Word...simular to an employment application... in a Form format so the user can simply type their name in...etc. and then email it back to me. I placed the form text boxes, but when someone starts typing in, the whole page starts bumping down. I guess I need to ask how to lock the page so it doesnt bump down when someone enters text.
I tried placing a table, but the table also just keeps enlarging...

Hi ridge,
Did you lock the form with the lock icon on the forms toolbar?

You are using the Forms toolbar to create your textboxes. You should be using the Control Toolbox to create the textboxes. Then all the text stays within the box. You just have to make sure you click the Design Mode button to add the control then unclick it to activate the textbox. Also, after you create the textbox, click on it and right click and select Properties. Change Scrollbars to vertical and Multiline to True. Close the property sheet, click the Exit Design Mode button. Now the user can type as long as they want in the textbox and not affect the document.

Yes... I did lock it... it seems that locking it simply makes it so that you cant type anywhere except into a text box... but the text box still bumped everything down the page... thanks for taking the time to try to help.
Anyone have other ideas?...

Great fneily,,that seems to be what I need... however, is there a way to get rid of the "frame" look to it... so that it appears to be typing on the page instead of in a box? thank you so much...

Never Mind my last question fniely. I found it and it is just what I needed... thanks again !!!

I do have a follow up question now....
The tab key does not move the curser to the next box...
As it is now, I have to move the mouse, and click the next box... is there a way to set the tab or enter key to make it bounce to the next box?

They don't make this easy. I found this:

See the code at the very bottom. In your word document, get out of your textboxes so you're in the regular document. Then do Alt + F11, this will place you in VBA. On the left you should see a Pane called Project. Expand (click on the little + sign next to Project(Document1) (or the name of your document)). Double click ThisDocument. On the right, max. the window. That's where you'll post the code.
You'll notice the code is using the Names of the textboxes. You'll find them by bringing up their property sheets and looking at the Name option. Actually the code is pretty easy to follow.
I personally haven't tried it, but it looks good.
