Hi
I have a form which is several pages long and contains multiple fields on it. I have restricted the forms lengths but users are still able to press return and knock all the form and tables out of shape on each page. Is there any way of restricting a fiel in MS Word to a fixed lentgh and to a cetrain number of lines or just one line

Thanks

Anna

There is - rightclick on your field and choose Properties. One of the options that come up is 'Maximum length', set to unlimited by default. You can only specify the number of characters, but if you type in the field until it's the maximum size you want, then click Tools, Word Count and take the number of characters to use from that (inc spaces).

This is for Word97, by the way, it'll be slightly different in other versions but the general idea should be there.
