Form Fields - can they be moved accurately?

This might be an easy question for most of you, but I'm have a devil of a time finding out how to move form fields freely around a page without snapping to predetermined locations. There must be a switch somewhere to allow form fields to be relocated more accurately to positions overlaying a scanned in template.

Can anyone help with this or point me in the right direction in a prior archive?

OK, I've found the answer in the most obsure place. I'm posting this for those that have had a similar issue with text boxes snapping to some hidden grid and have trouble positioning text exactly where it is needed.

The grid can be adjusted by clicking Edit/Preferences/Units and Guides and then increasing the value in the subdivisions box.

Hope someone finds this helpful.
