does anyone know if you can have two extensions set as the same number effectivley creating "forking

If using R3.0 you have coverage buttons.

If on previous versions you have one extension cover the other extension, twinning etc. One extension will ring at the same time as the other extension.

In 3.1, then it is called "twinning" but basically it is exact the same as "forking".

the way the notes on coverage read says it only rings at the second phone if the main phone doesnt answer the call?

yes it covers to the other extension once the idividual coverage timer expires on a per user basis. Make sure this does nont conflict with no answer timer (check the help file, it is all there) You will need to make sure you have the covering extension setup under the digital telephony Tab.

Ps. only works on digital extensions, I.e. there can be no analog extensions in the mix, something they took away that they plan to re-introduce!? *Shrug*

yes, after the coverage timer hits, works quite nicely

but there is no way to make both ring at once like parallel?

These options still are not "forking", only the 3.1 feature called twinning does the job.
Twinning can be made between any kind of extensions.
3.1 will be released 30 nov.

...but "twinning" won't be available for systems with a US locale! don't aks me why

You had enough new features in 3.0 for the next two years, now it's the EU who gets the best!

I will tell you a little secret :
If your IP Office locale is set to enu then Manager does not show all options.
Change the locale to eng, reboot, configure, save, reboot, change locale, save, reboot and voila, the "not supported features" wil still be there although you cannot see them.

Oops, whats that? Not supported o suppose....

But in 3.2 we get some REALLY trick features. At a price though so they had better actually work.
