I need to run the Active Directory preparation tools for migration from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. Can I run the 3 'prep' jobs safely during the day while users are on the network or should it be a weekend job?

I'm a one domain, one organization, one Exchange 5.5 setup...approximately how long do you think it will take for these 3 processes?

Thanks!

I am not sure how much time do those processes need in when you are upgrading,
butwhen i was installing Exchange 2003 in my organization (one domain, 2 DC's win2k3)it took 15-20 minutes for ForestPrep and DomainPrep processes to finish.

All three can be run during normal working hours. We only got it trouble when we had the Suite Replication Service start synchronizing Exchange 5.5 with A.D. Make sure you have proper backups, that your A.D sites are configured well and that you have installed Exchange 2003 SP1.
Turn off one of your domain controllers as a precaution.
