Not sure if this is the correct forum...but here goes.

I have to get a default home page served up to everyone who connects to my linux server. How do I do this? DHCP is from a router and there is no log into the Linux box as it is not used for any file sharing or printing.

Then what do you mean by "connects?" Is there any system that they do log into?

In a hotel a guest connects to high speed internet via an ethernet hook up. There is no authentication that I know of. When he launches his browser a web page other than his home page comes up. It is the hotel web page.

How is this accomplished?
