Forcing renewal of IP Address

Hi! Easy one hopefully! Have DSL as home, all works well but need to switch DSL connection between Home & work PC. It takes a long time before the default gateway is picked up again, however IP Address is assigned quite fast. Any way to initiate contact with a utility of some sort to wake up the connection faster? Have naturally tried /release & renew and also re-boot.

Are these pc's in the same location. If so just get a hub. Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.

Ok, but should it be setup so that each PC has a seperate address to the DSL Nokia device or should the laptop (work PC) piggy-back off the desktop? Just thinking about when I bring the laptop home, whether it will pick up the address quickly or not ... ?

better yet just buy a router. I dont mean cisco. alot of companies make less expesive ones. you can achieve more going foward with the router for about 20 bucks more. Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.
