Is there a way to force a phone, say extension 11223, with bridged appearances 14433, 15533, and 16633 so that when a bridged appearance line is ringing and the user picks up the handset that it doesnt automatically pickup the bridged appearance and instead picks up one of the call appearances for 11223??

To me, it's a matter of looking at the phone and selecting your line and picking the handset up. Which is what I have been telling everyone to do, but I just received a request for like 9 people who feel entitled and I figured I would try to find a better answer.

Oh forgot

Avaya CM 6.2
Avaya 9608SIP

Tested on my system and when I pick up the handset I have to select the ringing bridge appearance to answer it. I would disp sta with the bridge and paste page 2 on the form so I can compare the difference with my station.

Have a look here on page 331

this will describe the feature in great detail as there are many ways to conigure

Also have a look at coverage path settings and some cor settings , but the simplest answer is to get the users to look at which button is ringing assign three call app as the first three buttons on the users sets and get them to do the work correctly.

also have a look at this
Interactions for Temporary Bridged Appearance
This section provides information about how the Temporary Bridged Appearance feature
interacts with other features on the system. Use this information to ensure that you receive the
maximum benefits of Temporary Bridged Appearance in any feature configuration.
Call Coverage
Calls that are redirected to Call Coverage maintain a temporary bridged appearance on the
called telephone if a call appearance is available to handle the call. The called party can bridge
onto the call at any time. You can administer the system to allow a temporary bridged
appearance of the call to either remain at, or be removed from, the covering telephone after
the principal bridges onto the call. If two parties are bridged together on an active call with a
third party, all three parties hear the bridging tone.
Consult
Consult calls use the temporary bridged appearance that is maintained on the call. At the
conclusion of a consult call, the bridged appearance is no longer maintained. If the principal
chooses not to talk with the calling party, the principal cannot bridge onto the call later.
Conference and Transfer
If a call has, or had a temporary bridged appearance and the call is then conferenced or
transferred, and is redirected to coverage again, a temporary bridged appearance is not
maintained at the conferenced-to or the transferred-to extension.
Privacy - Manual Exclusion
When Privacy - Manual Exclusion is activated, other users are prevented from bridging onto
a call. A user who attempts to bridge onto a call when this feature is active is dropped.

montyzummer- I am having a similar issue as Keggles but in reverse order. When a bridged appearance rings on my station, I have to pick up handset then select the ringing line. I looked at the Avaya document link you posted above and found this on page 335 and 336:

5. In the Bridged Idle Line Preference? field, perform one of the following actions:
• If you want the user to lift the telephone receiver, then press the lighted bridged
appearance button to connect to the call, type y.

Bridged Call Appearance administration
Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager Feature Description and Implementation June 2010 335

• If you want the user to just lift the telephone receiver to connect to the call,
leave the default set to n.

I tried changing to "n" but did not fix the issue I still have to lift handset and select the ringing bridged line.

* Keggles- is the Bridged Idle Line Preference field on the station set to No or Yes ?

I was just looking at that. My Idle Appearance and Bridged Idle are both set at no. For yours is it possible that the change wont take unless the system is synced? Ive seen a lot done through Site Admin requires a sync where as the GUI is usually right away.

Did you try changing the Bridged Idle Line Preference to Y ?

look at button ring , per button ring control reserve last ca , around page 1233 these are all station form settings.

Checking Bridged Line Preference worked on my end. I went through the GUI to change.

Glad to hear it worked for you !
I will let you know after mine sync's if it worked as well ?
When you are saying GUI do you mean that you are using PuTTy to access instead of ASA ?

The website/portal. Sorry I came from a networking background and fell into Telecomm. We use the portal and System Administrator/Putty. Less Putty now that we are swinging the lines over to media gateways.

keggles you are using acccm by the sounds of things ,ddog6601 use asa in emulation mode , do a list trace station xxxx of your station and post the results if the change does not work

Tried in Emulation mode but did not fix the issue. I traced the call on the bridged X 5567. I pick up the receiver and manually pressed the bridged X 5567 to answer the call, and this is what the trace captured:

Wanted to add that X-5567 does not have an actual phone hardware assigned to it, it was just built as port X for test purposes.

with both port networks being in NR 1 and you are using a x ported station i believe you need an intervening region or use an actual phone , as the igc is being removed and the medpros drop the stream... i think

I tried again this morning, this time with an extension that has a port # and analog phone assigned to it. Still had to pick up receiver then press the abrdg extension. Call trace below
