I have several users that insist that it is far too time consuming and/or inconvenient to log off their computers at night (or even sometimes over long weekends). As you might imagine, this causes me to break out into hives (and of course these are the first people to complain when I reboot the DC on Saturday evening and then they have all kinds of strange error msgs. waiting for them Monday morning).

Does anyone know of a way (perhaps through Group Policy or Scripting) to force a workstation to logoff the network after say 4-5 hours of idle time.

I considered using the 'restrict login hours' features but that not quite exactly what I'm trying to accomplish.

thanks.

thanks for the reply.

attempted to download the 'Bouncer' software but my virus software had a problem with it. Said it detected a Trojan.
Any ideas?

thanks again.
