Hello,

We have an Avaya AURA CM 6.1 system installed at Office A with an ESS located in office B.

Office A is in Network Region 1 and office B is in Network Region 2.

We recently experienced issues with out network provider which resulted in poor connectivity between the 2 sites with call quality at Office B being severely impacted to the point that the lines for this office had to be closed.

Is it possible to force Network region 2 to use the ESS server in these situations while Office A still operates from the main server (e.g. simulate network connectivity outage between the main server and ESS)?

We could achieve this using our firewall to block the traffic but I'm hoping there is a way to achieve this on the CM.

Thanks

Stu

disable nr-registration x , will disable registration of the ess network region back to the core , to reverse enable nr-registration x

Would that also disable the phone at that network region? Or would the phones then register to the ESS?

The phones register at Clan or Procr so say if your ess and gateway are in network region 2 and you disable that region your are disabling registartion to the core , so as long as your gateway at your ess site actually registers to the ESS and the phones have a second MCID address in the dhcp option string , and your recovery rules are set all will be fine.
