I have a situation where I need to force specific area codes dialed to go out over my LD route.

So for example area code 123 currently goes out over route 5 (local dialing), anytime anyone dials 123 going forward I need to force it out over route 6 (LD).

What is the correct way to accomplish this?

I would leave the 1800 spn alone and add an ARRN 2274000 with an ARLI of the LD route that way all 800's go local except the arrn would only send 800 227 4000 out the ld route you'll still need to fix the FRL on the LD RLI problem can they dial LD normally what is ncos of the LD trunks? can the guy normally dial long distance?

What are you going to do if your LD Vendor doesn't alow TFN on there network as some I have had don't alow it. I've been in Telecom almost 40 years ans Healtcare for the last 4 and I've never heard of a law or compliance requirement having to use LD to make a TFN call.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Here is the way it was explained to me by my billing dept.

FCC regulations require some sort of oubound CLID info to be passed on local circuits. Verizon also confirmed the same thing ," Per the FCC, Verizon has to pass either a default number or each individual number. " The client in this case can not send info so the quickest solution I could think of was to just force the calls over LD.

You can request Verizon to have your main Number show on all calls.

And it's requires a real Number not just any number.

Or you can setup CLID in the CDB to send out the Main number or the DID of the person making the outgoing call.

Currently they are passing the main billing number for outbound caller id.

It's a weird requirement that this customer has.

So if they are sending the main billing number, what is it that they want?

They do wnat any number at all going to a specific local number and a specific toll free number..Both are tied into each other.

I didn't understand your last post.

I really did fat finger that one.. =)

Was supposed to be they

They do not want any caller ID going to a specific local number and also to a specific toll free which is tied into that local number.

That would not be legal as a CLID is required by law to be sent.

This seems like a 360 Degree difference then your original questions.

This is a Quote from you

Am I missing something here.

I think your miss reading your own Queue.

"be passed on local circuits"
that doesn't mean you don't have to give CLID on LD trunks

You could program the cpp feature code in ld 57, make it something like *67. Then when they do not want to send caller id they could dial *67 then 9 and phone number.
