Since I dabble a bit here but mostly read through most of the bantering.....

Normally go with Dr_Bob but it was taken, name is Rob and at my last job they called me the laptop doctor so the owner would always call me Dr. Bob

Graduated from SIU Carbondale in Illinois with a BA in Networking. Worked at a PC repair shop for about 7 years, am Apple Certified, and now work as the IT admin for a Metal foundry/machine shop.

Lot of intelligent people here and some great conversion, thanks for letting me be a part of it!

I'm a dyspraxic idiot with a handle to match (some would say ;-))

Been in IT 20+ years and a member of TT comming up to 10 years.

I'm studying for a Diploma in Computing so I can become a DIC!

I also work full time as the IT department, run a record company for a hobby (well website), and release open source software when the urge takes me.

I'm also currently (not right now!), playing Mass Effect 2 asi do like to play games still even at my age, and even though I'm not that good at them, can't beat a bit of death and mayhem on a sunday!

Hairlessupportmonkey - well my last handle hairysupportmonkey got banned for one reason or another, I forget now. I'm neither hairy or hairless, however, like IPGuru, I'm a support engineer - specialising in both IT and IP Office (mainly) and I am the general support monkey round here.

I lurk in this forum as I like to better understanding of the language I speak and enjoy its quirks. I just wish I had more time to read more!

Oops - typing and talking on the phone caused this.

"I like to better understand the language...." it should be.

Hairlessupportmonkey,
[tab]And here I thought you had changed it because, like most of, you've pulled all you hair out dealing with end users. ;-)

hairlessupportmonkey -- I prefer the handle hairysupportmonkey, but that handle is not available. I'm neither hairy or hairless. I'm a support engineer - specialising in both IT and IP Office (mainly), and I am the general support monkey round here. I lurk in this forum as I'd like to better understanding the language I speak. I enjoy its quirks, but I just wish I had the time to read more.

LOL - some bits added some bit left in. I knew the dodgy english would stay :) Is this called editorial licence? ;-)
