Yes not Crystal Analysis, but the old Seagate Analysis (BTW which is still avail from CD but no longer supported)

I have reports, which I distribute to clients (an .rpt via e-mail) and for some reason one set of reports opens fine while the other set the user is prompted for the parameters?

Both sets of reports have parameters but only in the second set does Seagate Analysis was the user to provide some input. The first sets opens fine and shows the data contained within the reports just fine, no questions asked.

Cheers,
Alan

aevans,

Check to see if both reports are set to "save data with report" - if data has been saved - the report woun't ask for parameters.

Hope this helps

Turns out the answer is this:

Reports with parameters that do not have a default value specified when designed in CR, when opened in Seagate Analysis prompt the user to supply this missing parameter. Even thought the data is already contained within the rpt file.
