Footprint on S8730 and G650 Rack mount. 3

I am in way over my head and need some help, again.
We are needing to move our phone room and upgrading our system. We are planning for about 900 analog stations and about 900 digital stations and 100 ip stations initially.
Planning growth of up to 2400 stations, ultimately, 1100 being analog, 1000 digital and 300 IP.
It has been suggested that we should consider an S8730 with G650 Gateways. My immediate concern is what does the footprint look like for just such a beast (rack mounted)?

Attached is the hardware description manual for CM 5.2. The S8730 servers require a 4-port rack. The G650's can go in either a 2 or 4-post rack. You don't mention trunking requirements. For analog you will need (46) 24-port boards. For digital you will need (42) 24-port boards. IP stations will require some C-LAN and Crossfire boards. Station equal around (7) G650s.

How many G650's will fit into one cabinet?
I am assuming the S8750 will go into the MCC1 cabinet, is that correct?
There is a lot of good information on that website, t'll take me a while to get through it. Thanks for that.

I see the cable slack manager is 7" X 32" X 38". Is that above the SCC cabinets?

There are no 'traditional' Definity cabinets. Everything goes in 23" data cabinets/racks.

A slack manager may be placed on the floor behind the cabinets as a device to manage/cover the cables.

Will one cabinet accomodate 7 G650 Gateways?
Will one additional cabinet accomodate the S8750, Audix, Aura, and other stuff?
I have a pretty good idea how much room I need for the cabling, and also for the UPS, but space is a little tight and I don't want to commit to an area that isn't big enough for all I need. By the way I'm going with Chatsworth Frames since they don't make Homaco's any longer.

You will probably need 2 or 3 data cabinets for all of that stuff. Plus there are IP switches needed as well.

Each server is 2U, each G650 is 8U... Standard rack is 42U.

You can create (3) Port Networks: You can put (4) G650's (PN1/PN2) in 1 Rack comfortably, (3) G650's (PN3) in the other. Place the S8730's in the 1st rack above the (4) G650's. If you have an Intuity LX (rackmountable), I believe that's 4U. So you could rack that above the (3) G650's.

Behind the G650's you could put ethernet switches, because the G650's are shallow compared to the S8730's...

If you have APC UPS' built into the mix, those are 2U and could go below the G650's.

I would limit it to 2 port networks, because of the cost of the IPSI's, each port network will have to have (2) IPSI's in High Reliability, meaning you would need (6) IPSI cards.

If you have port network 1 be (4) G650's, in 1 rack, and port network 2 be (3) G650's in another rack, you can get away with just (4) IPSI cards, in a HR setup.

Not to also mention, you would need Medpro's or Media Processors in each port network... you will also need fewer of those as well.

The real solution to your issue is to have a Business Partner run your configuration through the ASD Design Tool, it will tell you how many G650's, IPSI's, Port Networks etc.
