I'm using InDesign CS4 and for some reason the buttons for the font size has greyed out but I can change to predefined font sizes. I using windows vista if that matters at all.

...if adobe apps display odd behaviour, try restoring your preference files, they are recreated during relaunch:
Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Thanks, that's what I did and it did clear the preferences. I will say it was nice resetting the preferences as there were some I forgot that existed the last time I loaded InDesign on my computer.
