I tried to install InDesign CS, but it told me OS-10.2 was too old. So I upgraded to Panther (OS-10.3), then installed the Adobe CS suite. Now Illustrator and Photoshop work with Font Reserve, but InDesign won't. It says there's no Font Reserve plugin. Couldn't find a plugin on the Adobe or Extensis (Font Reserve) sites. In the meantime, when I open InDesign 2 docs, I have to replace most of the fonts with ones that InDesign sees. Surely Adobe hasn't provided a plugin for Illustrator but not for InDesign?!

Surely!

As I understand it, the plugin you used in ID2 was simply for autoactivating fonts in an application as needed. Until a IDCS/Font Reserve plugin is created, you need to manually activate the fonts in Font Reserve Browser so that they can be used in IDCS.

I have a big problem for my department. We are on OSX 10.3.5 using adobe professional creative suite and font reserve. The users create their jobs then send over the files to a server. This server is used to create eps and pdf files of all our proofs.
We all have the same software and fonts (clean fonts - they have been through font doctor 4x's).
When font reserve goes to auto activate the fonts a dialog box comes up saying fonts are missing. The dialog box does not identify what font could be creating the problem. I continually must go over to the server and cancel out the error. The files create eps/pdf files with no problem, so if there was a font problem (really) the eps/pdf files would not be produced.
i have the most recent version of the font reserve autoactivation plugin for Indesign. This is driving me crazy anyone out there have any thoughts on this issue??
