I have a dbf file create din fp2 and i want to tranfer it in vfp8 the problem is that i cannot read the greek font is something that i can load in order to see the fonts corectly? Note that if i go from the menu Table -> fonts and i choose Terminal i can view greek words but cannot be saved with that font so next time is again a mess up

Thank you

cyexpert,

It sounds like there is a font file missing/not installed.

Can you read the greek characters when you browse the table in Fox2.6?

Are you running FoxPro2.6 on the same computer as VFP8?

Hi StewardUK
yes i can read the grrek fonts on the fp 2.6 but i m not running them on the same machine.

Machine with fp 2.6 is a windows 98 and the one that runs vfp is a win2000

It sounds like the machine with fp2.6 has a font installed that the VFP8 machine doesn't have.

If you go into Control Panel/Fonts you can see what fonts have been installed. I think you'll need to look through these on both machines and copy the missing font file onto a floppy. Put the floppy in the VFP8 machine and in the Fonts folder click File/Install new font.

I think:) that will solve the problem.

Hope that helps,

Stewart
