Folder Size

I am trying to install IBM Websphere on a Sun Blade 150. The default install directory is /opt/WebSphere When I click OK I recieve an error that there is not enough room in the directory. There is an Oracle folder that can't be moved so I need to expand the size of /opt. It is 512 mb I would like to take it out to 1 gb. How do I do this?

A really easy way to do this would be to movethe stuff to a different partition with more space and then create a symbolic link to point back to where it used to be.

Example:

mv /opt /space/opt
ln -s /space/opt /opt

Just a thought!
