folder defaults

this is probably a simple one....in XP I want all of my folders to display only the "Name, Size, Type, & Date Modified" for the files. Every time I create a new folder I have to redo this. How can I set the default folder display.

Hi yes you can do this, Open My computer and set view the way you like. Then Click tools--> folder options.

From there click on tab for View look down thru list and check box to Remember each folders view option. Then above just click on Apply to all folders, This will apply the current view to all folders yet if you change one say with pictures to a special view it will remember that for you. But from then on by default it should list in detail for new ones.
