I have been browsing the forums and I am not sure where to post this question (if someone can direct me to a better forum within Tek-Tips please advise).

I am trying to deny a group the ability to get into a folder, but they must be able to run a MS Access db that resides within the folder (obviously the shortcut to the db is accessible to them). I cannot seem to figure out how to set the folder/file permissions for this BRKL_EVERYONE group. Help would be greatly appreciated. TIA...

Just new to this forum myself Board. I am assuming a Windows system? I would look at setting access permissions on the file itself as RWX with List Contents on the folder for the group you are referring to. Not the most elegant solution and unless there was a real good reason to keep the database file in that folder I would simplify things and move it to another location myself.

Hope this helps
