FOH/BOH AKB

Can you guys post the AKB for running FOH/BOH with XP? I have the older one, but I am wondering if there are differences with XP--I still have not been able to resolve that EOD problem I posted about a few weeks back. And now I am having another issue with XP on FOH/BOH.

I have done several of these installs, and nothing has changed from the old akb.

What kind of problems are you having?

I more or less had few simple questions about the set up, that are kind of vague in the KB document.

For example, when an FOH/BOH, how do you partition the drives?

Does your FOH/BOH share an Aloha directory, or do you have two separate ones?


Do you disable the NONET in the registry?

Do you configure all the terms (except the fileserver) so they are neither master or fileserver capable?

Just curious. Having EOD problems at one site.

It all goes on the same partition. If there is more than one terminal, turn off server and master capable on the foh\boh machine so the other terminals will be the master and that will clear up many of those odd issues.

here is the only place that I could find to download lanacfg.exe besides the alohaftp.

btw, thanks for posting that link... I was onsite the other day, at a server that didnt have the lanacfg, and i had to fix a blown out NIC. I thought I was looking at a return trip, but then I remember that you posted a link to it.
