I have a Continous form that shows several fields from a query. What I want to do is:

1. When the user leaves the field, check that the field is not emtpy (I cannot set the allowzerolength to no as I have some records that have no info in the table, these are filtered out). If it is, I want to:
a. notify the user he cannot have an empty field.
(I did this in the afterupdate)
b. go back to the field and record with the emtpy(null) field.
c. Change the field backcolor to yellow for only that record. ( currently change the field color in all the records using the afterupdate)
I am not familiar with bookmarks, and I do believe this is what I will need to do. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried using the conditional formating feature?
