Hello Phone people, I,m working with a Mics 7.0 and call Pilot 100
Set up auto attendant to transfer to a hunt group, if no answer call returns to AA, after transfer timer expires, how can i direct the call to a mailbox ? Thanks for any input.
You can't have a hunt group call transfer to a voicemail box on a Norstar. Because you are using a Call Pilot 100, you can make the DN of the hunt group be an alternate extension on a particular mailbox assigned to one of the phones. Messages can be left in that particular mailbox, and receive message waiting indication.
Of course a HG can have a mailbox. Create a mailbox for the HG DN. Set the overflow of the HG to the voice mail DN. You can use a DN from the HG to receive msg waiting if the phone does not have it's own mail box
Overflow the HG to vmails DN (do F985 from any set to see vmails DN)
It will go to the General Delivery mailbox... unless you create a mailbox with the same number as Allworxguy posted then it will go to that mailbox instead.
You can also tell Overflow the HG to any set and it will ring that set then forward to its vmail.
There maybe one other way, I just created a post concerning a new client who states that their might be.
So I set up mailbox 708 and overflow the HG to it and the transfer recall timer expires it will go to mail Box 708 if so sir you are genius - wish this forum had spell check.
Thanks allworksguy.
I'll be back there in the AM, but it seems that if no one answers the call the system sends it back to AA so with a mailbox to send it to I'm pretty sure that will solve it.
Thanks alot,
When programming a hunt group, there is a Queue Timeout setting. The value of the Queue Timeout setting (in seconds) must be lower than the value of the Transfer Callback setting (in rings). This will take care of forwarding the call to the voicemail before the transfer callback occurs.
As for the mailbox, you have multiple options:
[ul]
[li]You can do as bdvtech suggested and use the hunt group DN as an alternate extension for an existing mailbox.[/li]
[li]You can do as allworxguy suggested and use the hunt group DN as the primary extension for a new mailbox.[/li]
[li]You can do as curlycord suggested and use the general delivery mailbox.[/li]
[/ul]
I should have worded myself better on my previous post. You can manipulate the programming to force a hunt group to forward to a mailbox. It can't be done using the Forward No Answer setting.
