FLV player question

I have an FLV player up on a website that will show a video if the play button is pressed. The problem is that the video file loads when the web page loads but I would like it to load only if the play button is pressed.

I am using Flash 8. Does anyone know the code to do this? Thanx !

This can be done if you create your own video control buttons, but it also means the viewer has to wait a bit (while the video is buffering) to see the video after pressing the play button.

The other way is to insert few blank background coloured frames at the begging of the video so that the viewer will see only the background colour before the video starts.

I have a player I purchased up on my test site.

I don't have access to the source code so I can't call a load function for the button. I thought there may be another way of doing it.
