FLV not playing

I have an FLV in a separate folder with index.swf ArticExternalAll.swf, and flvFinder.php. There's an HTML file that a flash programmer friend gave me making all of this work together. The HTML gets called up, but the FLV never plays.
I've worked on it for days, re-encoding, loading files known to work from other folders, etc.

I have the exact same set up in other folders and they play perfectly.

Thanks for any help or nudge in any direction.

you need to give more information - do you have the fla files for the swfs? How are you testing it? i presume you are testing on a web server with php installed?

Thanks BluesmanUK. The problem was that a kind friend mistakenly gave me some bad "flvFinder" code.

Incidentally, what kind of Bluesman? I've played (on and off) in the band of pianist Dr. John for more than 55 years starting when we were very young in New Orleans.
