FLV Files

I am trying to make a flash based website that has videos on it.

I have followed the tutorial on adobe's website, and I've uploaded all the files that needed to be uploaded (FLV Flie, SWF Flie, SWF Video Control File)

My FLV video is embedded in the flash website, and it works perfectly while on my PC, when I upload it, it loads the flash web page but it won't play the video.

Please Help Me, I've tried everything I can think of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does your server allow the playing of FLV type files?

You were right again oldnewbie, it was the server, so I've switched the hosting now, so it works

I am having the same problem - when you say it was the server, what do you change on the server to allow the .flv files to play?

so I switched to

http://www.web-mania.co.uk

Some servers (most free ones...) don't allow FLV files...

For those who work on their own server(Windows 2003 and IIS Server 6.0) - you must add a Mime Type for the flv files.
