Floppy Disk Drive & Win 98

My floppy disk drive is incorrectly identified in win 98 as a 5" drive. However the bios is reporting it correctly and so does win 2000?

I would boot in Safe Mode (press the F8 key at startup, then when a menu appears take option 3).

Open the Device Manager and delete all the floppy drives listed. Reboot and see if it is reported correctly after Windows refinds it. New Zealand, a great place to visit.

I should say what a great place to live.

I spent part of my childhood in NZ and one day hope to return.
