ok I have a flash talk that vendor shipped wrong software they sent me VLM 2.0 (voice mail light) software. I got them to send me a new regular 2.0.10 software. but apparently the original software is married to the system because AA and CCR are still not allowed. I have read a couple of post on here about doing a reinstall and unplug system lowering software to 1.9 or lower but I don't have a lower software. I have opened the cabinet and shorted what I think was the nvram capacitor ( big battery looking capacitor with a red sticker in the middle) and that didn't work.

any body got any other ideas other than buying a new cabinet?

I tried shorting the cap and I would try the other solution but I don't have another software version that is below 2.0 so I am kida stuck. but I did short the the cap just using jump wire but I could go back and get a 100 ohm resistor but I don't know if that would make a difference. but thanks for your help

You'll need a low level software card to flush out the "lite" configuration. Do a REINSTALL with the regular V2.0 software card. When the display reads "Resetting" pull the power. Install a V1.7 or lower software and boot up the Flash. Then power down again and put the V2.0 software back in. Power on and the Flash should boot up with all functions available.

Other than doing the above you will need a keycode to restore full functionality.

I am curious if anyone has tried this (do a reinstall) like the MICS/CICS
F983/login/1/password
While its resetting pull the power, swap softwares, boot up, test.

I do it Brian's way. Any software below having to choose F range will work. I have 1.44 that use.

thanks everyone. I will try to find a lower version of software. looks like that's my only hope. FYI curlycord I did try reinstalling the software and powering the system down and and replacing it with the other 2.0 software but that didn't work.
btw if I get my vendor to send me a 1.7 software any reason I couldn't just leave it at that and return the 2.0 what's the big difference between 1.7 and 2.0 , its connected to an old 8x24 and they just need a basic aa and ccr tree nothing fancy. I think they will upgrade to a IP office in a year or so. they just bought this 2nd location and trying to use what is there till they make a little money back.

Depends on your system software level. Post it will let you know if it will work.

I think also was the ability to use 2 Flash systems. One for voice mail and one for call center.
