Flash Player Problem on Mac with Tell Target

Hi, I'm designing a site which uses the tell target function often to load movies over my layer 0 movie. All movies load and play as they should in IE and NS on my PC, but on the Mac only the main movie on plays. If I download Flash Player 6, then all the movies loaded using tell target work fine. However, I am trying to avoid making the user download Player 6 before entering the site.

I am experiencing a similar problem with a scrolling text box I am using which has HTML tags in the actionscript. It works fine in IE and NS on the PC, but the Mac ignores the HTML all together and just displays it as regular text in the scroll box. I thought there may be a problem in the embed tags of the HTML file my Flash movie is in, but it looks OK to me. The URL of the site is:

When the user clicks on the 'VISIONN' tab, a movie should play in a target empty movie clip. Also, in the 'PORTFOLIO' tab, when the user clicks on a thumbnail image in any of the Tangible, Conceptual, or Visual tabs, a movie should play which just shows a complete image of the thumbnail and descriptive text should appear in the scroll box. This is where the HTML is being ignored.

So my question is why is this only working correctly after downloading Flash Player 6? I authored the site in Flash 5 on a PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you are on a PC or already have Flash Player 6 downloaded, then you probably won't see any problems. Thanks:]

If as you say, everything works fine on PC, then I guess the problem lies with MACS.

This might help out somewhat!

I'll take that into consideration. However, the browser I am using is IE 5+ and also NS 4.7. So maybe it is just the Mac. I knew someone was gonna bring that up:] But if that loadmovie problem you pointed me to is fixed in IE 5+, then this problem must be something elese. Any other ideas?
