I am adding a Flash intro to a frontpage website. I got the intro to work. It is on <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> username: concreteco password: b42188. The way I did it messed up my Frontpage website it added two home buttons on the page I changed to index1.htm from index.htm and the table of contents doesn't work. I called the intro movie index.htm(that was the name of my home page in frontpage) because I thought I had to change it to get it to come up first on the web. Should I have left it named intro and left my frontpage website as it was and just uploaded the intro with a get url linking them.

I just tried that now and it left it named index1.htm even though i changed it back and republished it and it now left off all menu selections. what am i doing wrong?.

Your help will be appreciated.

If you're serving the site, or have control of the server that's handling it, you need to go into the WEBSITE PROPERTIES dialog for the website in the Microsoft Management Console. There is a tab named PAGES and you can specify what the "default" start page is.

If you're publishing to a server with Front Page Extensions, your default home page is named DEFAULT.HTM and any content you wish to have come up first should be on that page.

~Sam French
replyto:sfrench@niku.com

FrontPage will accept either default.htm or index.htm or index.html as the homepage. Windows NT servers usually use default.htm and UNIX boxes use index.htm. FrontPage 2000 uses index.htm for the home page. Microsoft made some concessions.

In order to fix your table of contents, you might try this:

1. Go to your table of contents page in FrontPage and right-click to look at your Table of Contents properties.

2. You can enter your home page URL there. Also take a look at your site structure. Remember that the table of contents is a hierarchy. Even if you don't make any changes in the properties, resave the toc page anyway. I found that it sometimes helps fix some problems.

3. Then, click on Tools and Recalculate Hyperlinks.

4. Publish your web.

Hope this helps. <img src=
Hella
webmaster@vision21enterprises.com
<a href= Enterprises
